So you look up and see that your follower count has gone up by one hundred in the last two weeks, and you’re thinking “boffo!” But then you look at the list and this is what you see — 4/5 of the new followers are geometric figure avatars with pattern names and empty pages.
Dear Tumblr Staff: You are welcome to crow about how many thousands of new users you sign up every day, but the fact is that a whole lot of them aren’t actual human beings, they’re placeholders for inflating statistics and unknown potentially nefarious purposes.
Hey, wanna have some fun? In a few days have a look at the notes on this post and see how many fake accounts ironically faved it.

Let’s talk about happiness! I received the tickets for Roger show in São Paulo, in october 23. After several months listening to Roger songs every single day, finally I’ll see him live. I imagine how it’ll be when he start playing that songs. I’m gonna cry! I’m counting every single minute until that day (or night…) Oh, Roger, please, don’t forget to play “Hide in Your Shell”. I love that song so much!

This is a dramatic shot of thousands of German prisoners. It gives an impression of an endless mass and would have been very useful for propaganda purposes, both to depress the Germans and to relieve the British. This image was probably taken after the Allied advance of August 1918.
